McKinley and I hiked up Longs Pass with Joan and Granny today. It was wonderful! The fall colors were very vibrant at the bottom and the weather was perfect for hiking with a marshmellow attached to my back:) When we got to the top it was pretty stormy- we stayed long enough to snap some pictures. McKinley did GREAT! She napped most of the way and checked out the sky and the trees when she was awake. We figured the elevation gain to be around 2,100ft. Joan and Granny were on "Booty Patrol" because McKinley's little moccasians kept falling off (they were Aunt Hannah's when she was a baby) Oh yeah, the 80's called and they want me to give them their shorts back:)
