Hannah, does this remind you of anyone?...

When my sister was little we would always find her with one sock on, one sock off. She is still the same today. Over the past few weeks we have noticed that McKinley does the same thing! She loves to play with her socks, but often leaves one on and sucks on the other. Yummy! She loves to crawl! She is all over the place. This morning she made a hot lap around the kitchen. It was pretty cute. She also crawls in the bath tub- up and down, splish & splash. We are definitely going to do swim lessons this spring. She is a water baby- just like her Momma. I went swimming yesterday with Stacy & Becky. It was a nice break and the water felt great.

We hope to make Grandpa Don his pear pie today. :) We also hope to get out for a walk this afternoon. The snow isn't too bad- nothing the bubble can't handle.

Tyler has been working on his snowmobile. The insurance co. did end up totalling it- but nothing a welder, some grinding, some more grinding and some elbow grease can't fix. :)

Later gators. Have a great day.

Ps. Tomorrow is FEBRUARY. What the heck?

We are mobile...!!!

Oh DEAR!!! McKinley has started crawling. Last night we put the TV remote on the other side of the room and she crawled right to it! We just starred at each other with the "uh-ohhhh" smeared across our faces! We don't let her play with the remote- so it was very fun for her to crawl to it. Little stinker! She also pulls herself up on us or anything in sight. Hopefully this new found movement will not get her into too much trouble:)

Tyler and I had a blast on our little get-a-way. There were 11 of us that snowmobiled Thursday and Friday. It was great! I hadn't been for 2 years- it was sooo much fun! The snow was "go anywhere" snow, which was nice and I only got stuck once. Well, more like tipped over. We got a little tipped over at the bar that night too. We danced and partied until the wee hours (okay, so midnight is now the wee hours!)

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Have a great day/week/weekend!

Dang ol' teeth!...

The last few days have been pretty rough for the little bug. She is hopefully going to pop out a bottom tooth here soon. She is typically such a happy little girl, but she must be like her Mom and not deal with pain very well. :(

We had a pretty good weekend. Saturday was really fun. It was nice to get out and see some friends we hadn't seen for a while. Sunday, McKinley and I drove Mom home and spent the day at her house. We came home Sunday night. Yesterday we hung out at home and spent time with Tyler since he was off work for MLK day. Not much else is new. We hope to get a little bit of snow for our snowmobiling trip Thursday and Friday.

Purrrrr....

Tyler came home with a fun surprise yesterday! Our friend Joey had this little snowmobile. It needs a few minor engine repairs, but other then that she's golden! It is the cutest little thing I have seen in a long time! McKinley loves it and couldn't get enough of it. Today we are going to walk and do some paperwork. Hope to meet up with Auntie and Cooper. Tomorrow Tyler and I are going with my Dad to the big festivities downtown. Nana is staying with McKinley- she might just have to come pick us up too! :)

Have a great weekend.

NEW sled!...

Whooo hooo! Check out this little speed racer! While we totally love the new wagon, it is hard to pull in the snow. Aunt Bugs & Uncle Frank gave this little sled to McKinley yesterday! She loves it! It's a tie between the sled and the wagon on screams to the mailbox. We even went down the big snow pile. I am afraid I am going to have a speed junkie on my hands. I sure know she didn't get that from me! :)

Love to all.

Green Beans...

Yummy! McKinley loves green beans, steamed carrots and those little baby melt-in-their-mouth crispies.

A little of this...a little of that...

I was just looking through some of our pictures and realized that I didn't post some really cute ones of McKinley, Koleman and Hudson...so here are a few.

Ski patrol to the rescue...

Saturday night dinner
Mel with "Rock star" :)

McKinley with Papa
Tyler & McKinley
We almost left the baby in the garage:) ha ha.

We had a great time this weekend! We arrived Friday night and settled in. Grandma Shirley had made Chili for dinner- yummy! I think the Mays family was first to hit the hay! McKinley of course, was in bed by 8. Tyler was 2nd at 8:30, and I think I made it to 8:45. We were so tired for some reason. Saturday morning we ate cinnamon rolls for breakfast and went to the ski area for our lessons. Kathy and I had ski lessons with a great teacher and Tyler and Tyler had snowboarding lessons. Tyler's teacher said he was a "rock star" and he and Tyler were able to hit the slopes after a short lesson. Kathy and I stuck to the rope tow for a while and then hit the slopes...Kathy is gifted athletically (she is a marathon runner!) I on the other hand, have never been gifted athletically and it showed:) It took us a good 1/2 hour to get down the bunny hill the first time, the second time was a little faster and the 3rd...well, everyone waited for me at the bottom. We went back to the house for lunch and then went back so the boys could board from the top and Kathy skied from the top. I hung out at the lodge and drank hot chocolate. It was fun to people watch. I met a really cool Grandpa type guy that leads snowshoers. I think that is more up my alley. :) Saturday night we had prime rib, 2wice baked spuds, bread and salad for dinner- sooo good. We managed to stay up until after 9 and hit the hot tub a while after dinner. Sunday we took McKinley for a hike and then came home. The rest of the clan skied/snowboarded and Grandma Shirley hung out at the house. It was a super trip!

I think I will stick to snowmobiling though:)

Wanting to walk...

I think McKinley is going to skip crawling. She still doesn't like being on her stomach. She loves to pull herself up and is taking steps with our help. Here are a few cute pictures taken last week.

Bye, Bye Charlotte, Bozo & Curley...

Unky Allan riding Curley, Charlotte being led and Jill riding Bozo.
McKinley hanging out in the wagon while I shovel snow.
Trying to escape.

Unky & Jill came over this morning to take the horses/mules home. We are sad to see them go as we visit them daily on our way to the mailbox. McKinley screams at them in delight every time we pass them. We are loving the snow at our house. Although, it makes pulling the wagon a little tough. Luckily it is a 4x4 with big rubber. Today was a very busy day. McKinley spent the afternoon with Grandma Jackie while I ran around town doing errands. I always cuss errands, but in reality it is nice to talk to adults and run into people I know. We didn't get home until almost 4, just in time to start dinner and finish up some paper work.

Tomorrow is house work and baking for our skiing/snowboarding trip this weekend. It outta be a real fun trip! We are going with Toddy, Kathy, Grandma Shirl and Tyler. Todd rented a big house. The Tyler's are going to snowboard and Kathy, Todd & I are going to ski. We (Kathy & I) even have lessons- thank goodness! Last time I went skiing I was about 10 and ran into a boy- I have never skied since!

Off to read our new book club book. It is great! PS- the 13th Tale by Diane Sutterfield is a good book too. I just finished it and really liked it.

Later gators.

Enjoying the sunshine...

Daniel, Randy & Tyler snowmobiling last weekend.

Yesterday was beautiful! A big change from today- it is snowing like mad. Stacy, Cooper, Granny, McKinley and I went for a nice hike yesterday. We saw a few deer, but mostly enjoyed the sunshine and snow on the trees. The 2 twerps were great! Last night we went to Granny & Grandpa's so Tyler could get a haircut. It is so nice that his "stylist" lives right up road:) Doodles had fun showing Grandpa how she is taking steps forward. A big milestone, because every time we would stand her up she would just bounce in the same spot, now she likes to go places;) Uhhhh Ohhh...

Today we are hanging out at home. Tonight is my night away- Bunco here I come:) I'd better win big:)

Hackin'...

Poor McKinley has an awful cough. It started two days ago and is a little better today- thank goodness. Of course, I think she managed to pass it to Tyler & I as we have both been coughing too. We have spent the last few days hanging out at home trying to get rid of the cough bug. Who ever invented the humidifier and baby Tylenol deserves a great big kiss!

Not much else is new. We have no weekend plans! Amazing!

Have a wonderful weekend and stay dry:)

Love as always.

Happy New Year!!!...

The last few days have been pretty fun around here. Tyler and I talked Nana in to coming down to watch McKinley so we could go up in the hills to play in the snow. It was super. There were 5 jeeps and we made it to our cabin (with the help of a wench!) There was about 3 feet or more of snow in places.

McKinley is exploring more foods and she likes to give kisses. She even gave one to Nana yesterday. We have to wipe the spit off our faces though:)
BEST WISHES for 2008!!!
