No Ear Infection!...

I took McKinley to the doctor yesterday. She of course, woke up in a great mood and was fine all day yesterday- the Dr. probably thought I was a loon! At least I feel better knowing she doesn't have an ear infection. She weighs 15 lbs 3 oz! Whoa. No wonder my neck and shoulders ache all the time! Yesterday was also a big milestone day! McKinley crawled backwards on all fours. She only went a few little steps, but she was so excited. She has started liking tummy time a lot more lately! Thank goodness. I was beginning to think the back of her head would never grow hair again:)

Grandma Jackie is watching the little bug this morning while I do errands in town:) Yippee!

We might make firestarters with Auntie & Cooper this afternoon- it may be tomorrow- one never knows if the two little ones will cooperate:)

Later gators.

Hangin' out at home...

The little Doodlebug has not been feeling well for a few days. It seems to come and go which leads me to point my finger at teething. We will go see the doctor tomorrow. I am so thankful that I am able to stay home with her- especially during times like these when she just wants her Momma. So glad the fog has finally lifted! Even if that means the wind is blowing! :)

Hope everyone is having a nice week!

Gobble, Gobble...

We had a terrific turkey day at our cabin. It was really laid back and low-key. We ate like champs and some of us even had to take a nap to recover! (Tyler!) Dad, Jackie, Hannah, Unky, Tyler, McKinley and I had a great time. McKinley and I walked for a good hour and a half (she was napping) and the three of us spent the night. It was beautiful and sunny at the cabin, unlike the fog at home. We came home yesterday to the gloomy fog:( We also managed to get a good walk in yesterday and Tyler did a little hunting. I don't know if his hunting season will ever end? Today, McKinley visited Santa and told him all about how she likes to scream instead of coo and she even gave him some big smiles in attempt to get all the fun toys on her Christmas list:) Well, back to paperwork and cleaning. Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. We are so thankful for our good family and friends. :)

Uncle Miles arrives & Your fingers taste better then mine...

We had a great family dinner last week! We finally got to meet Amanda. She is super:) The whole family came over for dinner and Cooper and McKinley "hammed" it up and loved the attention.

Busy...

I love that McKinley travels well. Here she is after a big ol' long trip to the store (guess that isn't traveling!) We were power shopping before the Thanksgiving rush. It was a mad house at Fred Meyer.

Lunch with Shelle-Bell...

Whoa. Once again the time has slipped right on by! Last week we met our cousin Michelle and Unky Allan for lunch. Michelle was in town visiting. It was great to see her and McKinley loved spending time with them. Here is a cute picture.

Wanda the SUPER baker...

Where to start? Sunday we went for a great hike with Win and Anna. It snowed the whole time- we loved it! :) Later that afternoon we went to the cabin with Justin, Becca and Dailey for dinner. When we arrived Bugs, Frank and Paul were there- it was fun to see them and they had built fires, so the cabin was nice and warm! Thanks!! :) Tyler ended up working Sunday night from about 10:30-2:30am. Yikes! Yesterday I cleaned the mess we call home and McKinley and I went grocery shopping. She sat in the cart like a big girl:) She loved it! Joan was shopping too- and McKinley immediately recognized her and started smiling- she loves Joan:) Last night we had dinner and then Tyler had to go to work again. Tonight he and Jake are hunting after work. Hopefully they get off a little early since it gets dark so soon. Uncle Miles and his girlfriend Amanda are coming home for Thanksgiving. They should be here tonight. We are excited to meet Amanda! Aunt Hannah is also coming over today to clean the bathrooms- earning extra money for her trip. I must admit, I would much rather pay her then clean them myself! I hate cleaning the tubs! Hopefully she will want to stay for dinner:) Well, off to get the pecan and apple pies out of the oven. Cherry is next. Can we say piglets??

Where does the time go???...

I blink and it is already Saturday! What the heck? Let's see- Thursday we met Auntie Carol and Grandma Jackie in town for lunch. It was fun to visit and catch up on Rumi stories:)Yesterday Cooper came over for the day while Aunt Stacy went Christmas shopping. He was great and so was McKinley. I actually got some Christmas crafts done while the two kids napped. They were talking to each other a little bit after their rests. I am not sure if they knew they were talking to each other? But we can pretend they were:) Last night we went to the local brewery for a taste testing event. I put McKinley in the Snugli and she entertained everyone with her yelling and voice experiments. She is getting so vocal. It was hilarious. I must admit we had the only baby there. Are we WT or what? After that we went out to dinner with Unky and Jill. It was yummy and it was fun to visit with them. Today we took more family pictures- before the torrential down pour- thank goodness! Then Nana played with McKinley for a couple hours. I went to town, did some Christmas shopping, took a nap, did laundry, cleaned the hot tub and made dinner- all with out interruption:) I must admit that was nice! Tomorrow we are going hiking with Win and Anna and plan on going to the cabin with Justin, Becca and Dailey. Big day. I'd better head off to bed.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Nice kid...not too bright!...

Just kidding McKinley! :) She loves to suck on her toes, but doesn't realize she has toe nails that can scratch the roof of her mouth. Plus her feet stink. I don't know where she got that from? The past few days have been fun. Monday, Tyler was home from work. Our friend Hailey came over and took some fast family pictures. Tyler ended up being called for an outage right when Hailey came over. The outage didn't last too long- thank goodness. When I said we were done with the "meat" project, I lied! I forgot we had about 50 pounds to grind...so we spend Monday afternoon grinding meat! Now we are really done:) YIPPEE! Yesterday I took McKinley to Granny's and went swimming with Aunt Stacy and Becky. It was great! Daddy and Doodle hung out last night while I played Bunco- it was a blast! McKinley was sound asleep when I got home- yea Daddy! Tonight we are having dinner with Jake, Mel, Koleman and Hudson. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Love the toe suckers Momma.

Cute Cousins...

Cooper and McKinley are starting to look a little bit more like relatives. Just a smidge:) We still can't believe how opposite they are. Stacy and I had a fun afternoon walking, working and playing. The little squirts were great.

We are done with the meat project. Thank goodness. Dad helped cut the last of the elk yesterday. Tyler, Dad, Unky, Hannah, Rachel and Claire went to visit Bob, Mike and Riley last night. Nana stayed here with McKinley and I. We hung out and Nana made pizza for dinner. Uncle Tyler came over also. It was a pretty relaxing evening.

Uncle Marcus came home from Colorado yesterday. He shot a HUGE buck- way to go Uncle Sparky!

Tomorrow we are having some family pictures taken and plan on having a fun family day. Today we are thankful for our veterans and soldiers serving our country.

Back to normal...(whatever that is! :) )

We are so blessed to have a happy, healthy and fun family. The past few days have been great. My cousin Garrett has been working on his jeep in Tyler's shop and he has also helped us cut meat the past 2 nights! Thank goodness! We still have about 3/4 of the elk to go. I must say I miss my sisters cartoons. My packages are boring compared to hers.

I have been working this morning and McKinley has been great. She is napping now, after she wakes up we are going to Auntie & Cooper's house. We plan on doing a few fun things with the kids (if they cooperate!) We both have hand print/footprint kits. We also hope to get some hand/foot prints with an ink pad. Ha! We shall see how that goes:) A walk is in the plan also. We might do the loop or jog somewhere with the joggers! (Yeah right! I don't jog!)

Tyler and I are going on a HOT date tonight! McKinley is going to spend the evening with Grandma Jackie. Mom/Nana is going to spend some time with us tomorrow and Sunday.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I also hope this fog lifts! :)

Love & hugs!

Taaa Duhhh...

Daddy is finally home safe and sound. They had a great time and were full of stories. McKinley was excited to see her Daddy on Tuesday morning. She looked at him as if she was wondering where he had been this whole time. She also grabbed his face and rubbed it for a few minutes. It was pretty cute:) Yesterday Unky, Mike and Bob came over to sort things and clean up. Then Dad, Jackie and Hannah came over for dinner. Dad and Tyler got the deer cut and Hannah and I wrapped. I love it when Hannah helps with the meat wrapping because she draws hilarious cartoons on each package. Every time I get meat out of the freezer it makes me smile. Hannah recently got her drivers permit! Watch out:) Actually I have heard she is a really good driver! Yeah Auntie!!

We are at home today doing laundry and cleaning up. Tyler went back to work today- hopefully he remembers how to do his job- it's been almost 3 weeks!!

Have a great day and enjoy our fall weather- finally some normal weather:)

Love to all!

Comin' HOME...

YEAH!!! Daddy is on his way home! He called around 3 today and said he would be home tonight:) Stacy and I were in town having reflexology treatments when he called though, so I didn't get to talk to him:( Granny P was here with Joan watching the two monkeys. The reflexology was super (Thank YOU Joan!) Stacy and I hadn't been to town together by ourselves for a good 5 months- it was fun to hang out!

A full report on the ol' hunting trip will follow...

Over and out!

On top of the world...

Not really, but we were pretty high! Grandpa Jim, McKinley and I climbed the ridge in the canyon today. I carried McKinley up and Grandpa carried her down. Thank goodness he carried her! It would have taken us 3 hours to get down. The rocks are like marbles and I am horrible going downhill. They were way ahead of me! The weather today is amazing! It was 64 at the truck.

We are headed into town to celebrate the October birthdays in our family. I know it is November- we like to extend the celebrations:)

Happy Saturday. Don't forget your clocks.

:)

Counting down...

The count down has officially begun! Tyler will be home in 4 days! (if not sooner) We can't wait! I show McKinley pictures of Daddy everyday and she always grabs at him. Okay, maybe she is just grabbing at the picture...

We have been pretty busy. Yesterday we hiked with Grandpa Jim. He was silly enough and offered to carry McKinley in the backpack. I think he worked a little harder then I did:) It was a beautiful hike. The aspen had a few yellow leaves left and the view of town was spectacular. We had dinner with Granny and Joan. We were all husbandless.

McKinley is napping now, after she wakes up we will head to town for errands and coffee:) I also have some outside projects to do.

Grandma Jackie is done with student teaching today!! Yippee!! We are planning a celebratory dinner tonight. Steaks and potatoes! Maybe even some wine.

Have a wonderful weekend. Remember to change the clock tomorrow night. That outta be fun getting the squirt used to new time! :(
