Dirty!!...

Oh boy! We were all soooo dirty this weekend. It was hot and dusty. McKinley was a trooper though. She and I drove the jeep up on Friday afternoon. Tyler had camp set up already:) Papa and Brad, Pat (Brad's Mom), Staley & Luca stayed on Friday night. We had dinner and enjoyed the fire. Dan and Miranda also came up Friday night. Saturday after Papa and Brad left we went for a jeep ride. Not just any jeep ride, a really long, pretty one. It was great! We left from Neely creek, went to Haney Meadows, then to Grouse Camp, then to Naneum Ponds and back to camp. We were gone for about 5 hours. Saturday night Marcus, Stacy & Cooper came up. We were surprised to see them:) They left early on Sunday. The kids played a little Sunday morning. Enjoy the pics...

PS. Today is Aunt Stacy's 27th birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE!!! WE LOVE YOU.

Oh MY...

Ok, so my lovely husband started something...

Turn off the music to fully enjoy the show!

The clip was taken during dinner last night. Tyler was finished with his meal, so he went into the "snack" cupboard and grabbed an oreo...I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the story. I though fits came a little later:)

This was taken after she "finished" her dinner and was given an oreo. I swore I would never "make" my kids finish their dinner or make a "YOU HAVE TO FINISH THIS" pile...well, I now know what my Mom did that to me:)

We are going camping this weekend. Our family needs some time in the hills!

Lots of love,

M

Boatin'...

"Helping" Grandpa drive
Getting buried by Auntie
Don't they look alike?

We spent the afternoon in Grandma & Grandpa's boat. It was very relaxing and it was great being able to go during the week. There were only a couple other boats and the beaches were only occupied by nice families with kids. McKinley liked playing in the sand with Auntie and she also liked the boat key. We saw some wild turkeys, big horn sheep and deer.

Weekend Pic's...

McKinley is Ms. independent lately. She loves to feed herself. And lately, she dips everything into either applesauce or ketchup. Doesn't matter what it is...it gets dipped. This picture was taken this morning as she was eating Cream of Wheat. On Cream of Wheat mornings she heads straight to the tub after breakfast. And this morning, the nasty little creature pooped in the tub! If that wasn't bad enough she tried to play with it! It was the rudest thing ever!! I don't get very gaggy often, but this morning tested my reflexes!!
Aunt Mimi came for a quick visit this morning. She and Gary were in town for the weekend. When they arrived, McKinley ran up to Mimi thinking she was Granny P. It was pretty funny when she realized that she wasn't her Granny. Mimi and Maddi gave her a wonderful peek-a-boo book.
Tyler worked almost 35 hours this weekend. They worked all day on Saturday, came home at 8, had dinner, went to bed, got called back to work at 11 for a MAJOR outage, and didn't get home until 4 this afternoon. He is exhausted and is having some much needed couch time as I write. PSE's line near the wind farm/river sent 223,000 volts down the PUD line at 7,200 volts therefore, creating a huge mess. Of course that is my version of the story, Tyler tells it much better with all the correct terminology...He said there were blown regulators, transformers and poles caught fire.
Nana came over this morning and kidnapped McKinley for the afternoon. Sounds like they had fun:) I sure enjoyed the break and got some work done.
Have a good week.

This is what SUMMER is all about...

Addison loved the hose. She kept saying "O" at it- she is hilarious.

My friend Kyla and her daughter Addison came over for lunch today. The girls are 2 weeks apart. Kyla and I have been friends since 3rd grade and can always pick up where we left off. I love our friendship to pieces for that very reason. It was wonderful to spend some time together. When I think of summer as a kid, I think of sprinklers, lunch outside and being naked (not so much anymore!) I want McKinley to have as much fun as I did when I was younger.

Swingin'...

Hangin' on for dear life:)
We have the same dimple! :)

This picture was taken at McKinley's birthday party...Before we know it, she will be helping Grandpa Don in the fields.
Enjoy the sunshine this weekend! :)

Happy Father's Day!!!...

We have had a pretty low-key weekend. Yesterday afternoon, Tyler, McKinley and I went up to the cabin for dinner. It was wonderful. McKinley was a little cranky so we came home early. She had a fever Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. No other symptoms, but now she has a new top tooth...who knows what was going on. She seems to be much better today. This morning, Tyler went for a dirt bike ride with Win, Craig, Garrett, Dave & Levi. We met them at Craig and Nancy's afterwards for a bbq. It was a great day!!!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

I have 4 legs!!...

Wait, I am coming!!
The pout before the storm!!
The jammie cape! :)

As you know, McKinley loves to be outside. It could be 40 out and she will still want to be outside. Lately, she hands us her coat and shoes and walks over to the door and shouts her jibberish at us until we give in (which is often-especially with Daddy!) These pictures were taken a few days ago when Tyler was getting ready to leave for work. I had just finished changing her diaper, she escaped (again, this happens often!) Therefore, she had a jammie cape. Ohhh, the blackmail we have captured this past year! :)

Have a great day and TRY to get out of the stinkin' blasted wind!

Stacy, Cooper, Paula, McKinley and I went up Lillard this morning- it was beautiful in the hills. We plan on spending the weekend up there!! :)

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!...

Camping trip - 5 weeks old
Sleeping on Auntie & Cooper:) 3 weeks old
1st family photo-a few days old
Rolling over - 6 weeks - check out the guns:)
Our brown-eyed girl.
She slept like this for hours. Poor Tyler was stuck in the comfy hospital chair!
Just born. 8lbs. 20in. 8:29a.m. McKinley Lynn with her Momma

I woke up this morning around 7 and thought about what we were doing exactly one year ago. I was pushing with all my might and Tyler was standing FAR behind the bed (about ready to pass out) I wanted that baby to come out!! McKinley was on her way and when she arrived at 8:29 a.m. I held her and finally understood what the "different" kind of love was. There truly is nothing I can compare to how much I love her. We have had so much fun being McKinley's parents and are so blessed to have such a wonderful little girl. Sometimes I want to freeze time in its tracks- other times, I want to fast-forward- right now, I want to rewind and remember all the fun times we have shared as a family this past year.

I'll post pictures of the birthday shin-dig tomorrow.

Love to all.

Got Wood???...

McKinley's new castle from Nana & Alan
You can't really tell how messy her face really was...she had a cookie and made a huge mess!
Red Fir
Little lumberjack
Happy little lumberjack

We had a nice family outing to the hills last night- snagged a excellent load of wood and found some morel mushrooms. It was freezing up there! 39 degrees at 7:30 last night. Burrr! McKinley and I are going for a walk with Joan this afternoon. Grandma Jackie is graduating tomorrow with her teaching degree! Yeah Grandma!! Way to go!! They are having a celebration bbq after the ceremony. Yummy! :)
McKinley turns ONE on Sunday!!! My how the time really does fly. Everyone told us the time would fly by- we didn't believe them, until now!
Have a safe and fun weekend.

Weekend at Nana's...

McKinley and Nana jumping on the trampoline.

The very fun fountain at Bensen winery. She spent a long time playing with the water. They had a neat sitting area next to the fountain with a great view of the lake.

Who needs to spend $$$ for facial scrubs. Just have McKinley help you:)
Naked baby.

We had a great time visiting Nana & Alan. Saturday morning Mom & I went yard-sailing and made a Costco run. After we cleaned up, we all drove to Chelan for the day. We had lunch at one of the many great wineries there and also stopped at a few others to taste the goods. McKinley was such a trooper all day. We found a great little spot to play in the water-which she loved-clothes and all. I spent a few hours shopping this morning- loved the free time:)

Tyler made it home safely from Boise. He had a great time with Miles & Amanda. I wish I could have gone to play:)
