A Wee Bit Chilly...

Sooo, I think we picked one of the coolest days in weeks to go to the water park. It was a little chilly. But, overall, we had a great time. McKinley loves the water! Although, she doesn't like it when it is dumped on her head.:) There is a lazy river at the park and we were doing a few laps on a tube, when one of the water toys dumped a big ol' bucket of water on our heads! My hair got messed up! Oh wait, I never do my hair, so I didn't really mind...McKinley on the other hand, didn't love it one bit!

We went to Lake Roosevelt with Justin, Becca & Dailey on Saturday. Jake, Mel & the boys were camping, so we decided to take a day trip to the lake. We had SOOO much fun! The girls were great and had a wonderful time as you can tell. We are so blessed with wonderful friends.

Tomorrow, Stacy and I are taking the kids to the water park. I am so excited to go back:)

Have a wonderful week!

Tag...

I borrowed this from a friends blog page. Enjoy...

Tag, I am it...
maybe i should try to relax a little more often
i love the smell of fresh laundry, rain in the mountains, McKinley's baby breath, my husband fresh out of the shower, Aveda shampoo and conditioner and fresh lavender
people would say that I am a good friend
i don’t understand why life is so confusing sometimes
when i wake up in the morning I wish I didn't have to get out of bed until I was really ready
i lost my willpower to keep the house clean ALL the time. I would be cleaning non-stop!
life is rewarding, tough, special and a gift
my past is what has molded me to the person I am today
i get annoyed when when people make things far more difficult then they need to be
parties are something I always look forward to, unless there are people I don't know, then I am a little shy
dogs are a pain in the butt
cats are worse then dogs
tomorrow will mean it's Friday and the weekend is almost here:)
i have low tolerance lazy people and bad drivers
i’m totally terrified of something happening to my family
i wonder why I haven't just gone out and bought a new washer and dryer!!
never in my life did i expect motherhood was so hard, wonderful and challenging all at the same time
high school was fun
when i’m nervous I bite by lower lip
one time I ...when I was pregnant, I forgot to shave BOTH legs!
take my advice Live, Love and Laugh
making my bed happens....every morning
i'm almost always praying McKinley will take good naps
i’m addicted to D & M Coffee!!! Caramel creamer and Bud Light Lime (well, not really addicted, but they are REALLY good!)
I want someone to clean my house, I mean really clean my house top to bottom and I want a cute little cabana boy to deliver me drinks as I sit on my ASS and watch!

Water, Shop & Pickles...

Hubba Hubba! Check out those guns! No, not Tyler's, McKinley's, silly:)

We spent Sunday afternoon on Craig & Nancy's boat. It was great! The weather was super and we saw quite a few big horn sheep and some pretty springs/waterfalls. McKinley was a trooper and even took a nap in the bow of the boat.

McKinley loves to work in the shop with Tyler. Poor Tyler doesn't get much done when she is around, as she packs off the tools for her projects. She carries the wrenches and screwdrivers to her wagon and tractor, and then pokes at them with her tools. I guess she is fixing them:)

Lastly, I canned 8 jars of pickles yesterday. I love to can!! I am going to try mango raspberry jam next. I will do peaches and pears later on, along with salsa. I planted tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, onions in the garden, hopefully everything is ready at the same time.

Off to mow in the stupid bleeping wind!

Precious Cargo...

McKinley climbs up the other side, drives for a minute and then slides down. I think she likes it better when she can slide into the pool:)

McKinley and I had a great time at Nana & Alan's. We (mostly I) went shopping (I know- something pretty unheard of) and spent a lot of time just hanging out. Tyler has this cool hunting pack frame that needed a new bag...needless to say, it holds our precious cargo nicely. The company is family owned and has great products! Here is a link to their site. http://www.nimrodpacks.com/ Maybe we'll inspire them to make child carriers. :)

Happy Sunday! Enjoy our nice weather.

Shap Shots...

Bon Voyage! As I write, Hannah is galavanting around Paris!!! I am so jealous!!
Reading with Grandpa Jim
Helping Auntie pack for Europe
Playing with her sleeping bag
Tasting lemon with Grandma Jackie
Daddy on a hike/dirt bike ride
McKinley climbed up all by herself

We just got back from a long walk up in the hills. Koleman and Hudson are spending the day here today- luckily they have a double jogger and Joan and Granny were willing to push McKinley in her jogger:) After they leave this afternoon, we are going to Nana's for the night. Have a safe weekend!

Things I love...

I wish I could take the credit for this idea, but I stole it from my friend Gemma's blog. And I think she stole the idea from her friend. It is such a fun one, I couldn't help it...

Things I love-
The first few minutes after McKinley wakes up in the morning or from a nap, the smell of her baby breath, how one side of her hair is longer then the other, how her toes look exactly like mine, how she loves tools like her daddy, when she sees her daddy after work, watching her learn, listening to her eat (the hummm), listening to her talk, listening to her giggle, listening to her belly laugh.

The crisp mountain air in the fall, the smell of pine needles after a good rain, cooking breakfast in the camper, sleeping next to a creek, elk bugling, riding in the jeep with the top off in the rain, taking a shower after a few days of camping, laying in bed listening to the rain beat down on the camper, my great grandpa and grandma's old beach house, the feeling of accomplishment after climbing a mountain, getting up at 5 a.m. to hunt with my dad, caramel creamer in my coffee, floating the river (especially when I was little with my Papa), white water rafting, swimming in a pool, kissing my husband in a pool or the ocean, the ocean period, especially Hanalei Bay Kauai.
The 30 minutes after I clean the entire house, cookies fresh from the oven, cookie dough, brownie batter, snickers candy bars, chocolate covered raisins, Tyler's steaks, especially the first one he bbq'd for me in 1998!, the way my hubby looks in a towel:), the way my hubby's butt looks in jeans- any brand!!, our yard, our patio, our kitchen, MY laundry room, the pantry full of canned peaches, pears, asparagus, pickles, salsa, tomatoes, the smell of snowmobiling gear, the sound of old blue, the mess on McKinley's face when she tries to feed herself, McKinley's pig tails, when Tyler dresses her, when she runs to him with her arms out, when she spurs the dirt bike to make daddy drive faster, her motor noises, how men can make gun noises so much better then women, the smell of my-little-pony's, hunting morel mushrooms.
Having coffee and left over wedding cake on the deck of our condo in Kauai the morning after we were married, going to bed next to the man I love, our wedding video, our wedding, wishing my husband would wear a speedo (ha!, just kidding!), my husbands athletic ability, island time, Disneyland, traveling anywhere.
Helping friends, teaching children new things, being a mommy, being a wife, being an auntie, being a daughter, being a grand daughter, being a great-granddaughter, being a friend, cooking a meal for someone in need, helping someone in need, reading in the bath tub, sitting in the hot tub when it is snowing.
There are so many things I love, I could keep going on and on. I'm sure you'd rather see pictures of our cute little girl, so I'll save the rest of my loves for a later post.
Love to all. Have a good weekend.

The 2nd time we went to Kauai. We hope to go again soon!!

Week O' FUN...

The BIG kids
Hayden (5 mon) with her Papa
Blackpine Lake
The best kid-sitter ever!! McKinley loves Zach!!

We have had entirely too much fun the past week. We left last Thursday for our camping trip and had a wonderful time! It was so relaxing. McKinley had a super time at Nana's and Tyler and I enjoyed our free time.

Yesterday, we went to the water park in Moses Lake. It was sooo much fun! We celebrated Koleman's 3rd birthday. The kids were wonderful. McKinley even took a nap in the middle of all the commotion. She truly is a little water baby.

I promise to post more often, we've just been too busy! :)

Konner, Koleman and Ms. McKinley wishing she was just a wee bit bigger so she could sit on the spout! :)

Happy Birthday Koleman!!

Rested and Ready for Nana's...

These pictures were taken on Monday. McKinley caught up on her sleep- she took a 3 1/2 hour nap on Monday morning:)
Bottoms UP!! Getting ready for the weekend...

McKinley is staying at Nana's for a couple nights. Tyler and I are pretty excited for the break, however, we will miss our little peanut.

Have a safe and happy 4th!
