Homer, Sunny & Mouse...

Our new lawnmowers:)
Last fall we became the proud owners of Homer the mule. Homer has been with Unky's horses/mules this winter, but now resides in our front pasture. He wasn't very happy at first and escaped TWICE. This is where Sunny and Mouse come in handy. They are two of the cutest little pony's ever! They keep Homer occupied and also keep him from escaping! Yesterday I had the pleasure of trying to convince Homer that our pasture was just as green as the neighbors...the only thing I had handy was a 5 foot piece of twine (that I used to tie a sippy cup to the backpack with) anyway, it didn't turn out in my favor. Homer had to be haltered for real. Luckily the pony's arrived shortly after!:)
Happy Friday, have a safe and blessed weekend.

What A Difference One Year Makes...

Last year

This year...I have a helper on my hands:)

And a smiley little blue eyed boy.

Two salts and a pepper.
Koleman and Hudson came over for the day. The kids have had an absolute blast, even though we have been house bound due to the torrential wind!

Cabin with Bumpa & Daddy...

Dad & Tyler took McKinley to the cabin on Friday night. From the sounds of it, they had a great time. McKinley was wiped out when they got home. She went to bed at 7 on Saturday and took a 3 1/2 hour morning nap on Sunday. We had a great weekend. However, we are soooo ready for some nice weather. No more snow or frigid wind.

I took this picture last week. McKinley is so innocent- it's precious. She insisted on wearing her new polka-dot jammies with her irrigation boots and then put on the striped sweater as if the rest wasn't bad enough. This picture really doesn't show how silly she looked:)

Tuna Casserole...

Tuna Casserole:

2 cups small shell noodles, cooked and drained
2 cans drained tuna
3/4 cup light sour cream
3/4 cup cottage cheese
3/4 cup milk
1 (3oz) can mushrooms, drained
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup soda crackers, crushed
2 TBS melted butter
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Cook and drain noodles; stir in tuna, sour cream, cottage cheese, milk, mushrooms, salt & pepper. Put into 9x13 dish. Mix cracker crumbs, butter and cheese, sprinkle over noodle mixture. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

Fab! You could also substitute canned chicken if you don't like tuna.

Cookies with Coops...

Cooper came over for a while on Friday while Aunt Stacy did errands in town. We played outside and made cookies. I forgot to put the eggs in the cookie dough (what the?!) however, and the cookies were a total flop. I haven't done something like that in a loooong time, so I guess I was due. My bad luck didn't end there however, I met Tyler in town for dinner that night and after I got to town, I realized I had left my purse at home. So, I drove back home to get it and then went back into town for dinner. I was a zoo! My bad luck didn't end there...I got a flat tire later in the weekend, burnt lunch and wiped up spilled chocolate milk in the grocery store. (McKinley and I got "coffee" before attempting the grocery store yesterday...bad idea!) Lets just say I had a bad weekend. However today, so far, is much better:)
Here are a few more potty tid-bits I have heard the past few days...
- "Uhh Ohhh, mommy, pee pee..." Like I peed on the floor!
- "Nooo, nooo, pee, noo noo..." Once again pointing to the wet spot on the floor.
I swear our child is the fastest undresser in the world. She can get that diaper off in no time! We are going to try the positive rewarding for going to the bathroom in the potty. She loves those M & M's...Wish us luck!!!

Baaaby...

Now, please remember, Baby's mom doesn't have a job, still lives at home and isn't aware that dropping her on the floor is bad for her health. However, she does have diapering 101 down!!
