Floating the River...

For those of you know Toddy's side of the family, we have always floated the river rain or shine, hot or cold, etc. Some of my favorite childhood memories are floating the river with Papa Wendell. A number of years ago, Papa and his best friend Don along with some others formed a group that put together a Peace and Gourmet River Float. Every February, the group (now their children and their children's children) float the river, stop mid-way, set-up camp and cook gourmet food for everyone to share. This year there was lamb, ahi tuna, crab, tons and tons of wonderful fancy desserts, meatballs, tacos and a bunch of other really good tid-bits. I hadn't been to the float in 11 years! So this year was a real treat! Not only to remember Papa, but to get out of the house for a day! :) I had a wonderful time- as you can tell from the pictures, we all had a wonderful time!!

McKinley stayed home with Tyler. They played in the shop most of the day. She has figured out how to pull herself up on everything. Needless to say, this morning Tyler lowered her crib. We plan on going to Mike & Renee's this afternoon for a Superbowl party. I am excited for the food- who cares about the dumb game:)
